Brynn - 1 Month

Keeping with the theme... I am 13 days late in posting this one!
It has been a hard week. I was sick, then Brynn was sick for an entire week :(
She had major congestion and sounded like a struggling pig! I took her to the Dr. and they said she was fine, just suck her nose out and elevate her when she sleeps.
This meant she laid on me for the last 7 days to sleep.
OH NO!
We are now trying to get back to her bed!

Anyways... how is she 1 month old already?
The first month is always tough. I am recovering, school started, no sleep, and trying to figure out life with 3 kiddos!
It is so tiring, but so rewarding at the same time.
Here is what Brynn has been up to this month!
Obligatory monthly photo
Sleeping babes are always so sweet!

Hi, I am Christina the cow! Third child and just as much milk as I had with B&W. I may be able to stop nursing at 6 months and have enough stocked to get her to a year! haha
Cord is almost gone, so her last sponge bath!
Brynn, in Brooke's outfit!
This is Brooke! Same little nose. They actually look identical except Brynn's cheeks are a bit chunkier!
Very rarely does Walker ask to hold his little sissy, but when he does, my heart just melts!
Hello BOW!
We had everything figured out... many walks with Jack and Brynn for the six weeks we have off together. I forgot about my 6 weeks of recovery! But it was nice to get out and enjoy some sunshine!
Brooke gave Brynn her first bath!
#duh!
All clean!
Baths wear her out!
Another day, another walk with mommy!
I am not sure what made me think to have a Labor Day party when she is 2 weeks old, but lots of our friends came to my parents for swimming and fun!
Apparently I did not take many photos, but I had to get one of these two!
#jackandbrynn
Welcome to this wild family Brynn!
I could kiss her face off!
Kevin and I are so incredibly blessed by these three. Now, I know we have only been a family of 5 for a month, but the bigs have adjusted SO SO SO WELL!
Always an arm by the face!
2 girls post bath and too cute to handle!
Brynn's first day at church calls for some sisterhood matching!
#thanksoldnavy
Sometimes you just have to pull over and snuggle for a bit.
Currently Brynn is NOT a fan of the car :(
This face is the sweetest thing!
Daddy introducing her to sports... not sure if she cares!
When school is over, Brooke comes home to babysit!
just a little checkup!
snuggles for dayssss...
Just another picture of my girls after a bath!

Month one was a month of adjustments. Unlike her sister and brother, Brynn does not sleep well at all and hates the car.
We have lots of things to work on!:)
She is perfect in every way and we love her so much already!

XOXO,
Christina

Introducing... Brynn Elizabeth

So... those BIG PLANS I was talking about in my last post was having baby #3!
Mark and Katelin came over and watched the kiddos while Kevin and I had one last dinner out (for a while). I don't know why, but I was SO nervous this time around so we just went to Bravo (for a yummy salad) and headed back home to put the kiddos to bed. Walker has been SUCH a mommy's boy lately, so I was nervous that he would be so jealous with another baby. I wanted to make it as normal as possible for Brooke and Walker so we put them to bed Fri night and headed to the hospital while Mark and Katelin stayed with them.
We took one last picture as a family of FOUR!
We got to the hospital at 10pm.
I got all checked in and we hung out until they induced me at midnight. I was a week early because she was measuring 7lbs at around 36/37 weeks.
Kevin was all smiles while I was sweating bullets! ha
So here is how it went...
They have done away with the gel to thin your cervix, so I took this super small pill to get things going. We slept decent from midnight to two and then I woke up to BACK PAIN for the flipping third time... Come on Garman children, you have all given me TERRIBLE pain!
Our dear friend Josh was working that night and I wanted him to give me my epidural, but didn't want to get it too early, so the plan was to get it around 6am before he went home.
I was in a good amount of pain while my wonderful hubby slept the night away. About 5:30am, I had Kevin help me get up to go to the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom and thought I had just peed on myself. I got back to my bed and thought I had peed a little more. My water had never broken on its own so I wasn't sure if that is what was going on. I called the nurse and she immediately checked me and said my water had broken.
Josh came in to give me my epidural about 6am and I was more than happy to see him!
#OVERbackpain
Long story short, the epidural took WAY good on my right leg, but not my left, so poor Josh had to come back to give me more!
Uncle Bill (best OB around) wanted me checked at 10:15am because he was doing rounds. I was about 5-6 when I got the epidural.
9am rolls around and I start feeling those awful contractions again... I called the new Dr in and he juiced me up more! I kept saying I felt like my 600lb life.
About an hour later I told the nurse I felt like I could push. She said that my uncle wanted me checked soon she she would just of it now. Next thing I heard was "OMG you are complete, hold it in there, call Dr. Dorsey"!
Bad news.. his phone was in my room! lol
He was doing a circumcision and couldn't get to me right then. His wonderful resident broke down the bed and had everything ready. My uncle strolls in at 10:30am wondering how far I was, and sweet Brynn was out in 2 contractions at 10:42am!
Since I got more meds at 9:20ish, I literally was so scared because I could not feel myself pushing. I didn't even know if I was pushing!
It was perfect, and she is perfect!

Within an hour of being born, she was already sucking her thumb!
They don't bathe babies for 12 hours now... WHY!?

Second person to get their hands on her! DADDY!
Brynn had quite the fan club!
Aunt Kelly came to visit!
PawPaw
Granny
Grandpa and Grandma

Uncle Mark and Aunt K came up after dropping Brooke and Walker off at Gigi and PawPaw's.

Those CHEEKS!!!:)
Brooke had waited her whole life for a sister. She was in compete heaven and wants to hold her
ALL.THE.TIME
All bubba cared about was the toy Brynn got him!
Our first picture as a family of FIVE!

Another day, same cute visitors!

loves her Gigi already!
Sunday night Kevin went home to be with the kiddos and get Brooke to school on Monday so I had a quiet evening with Brynn and Amanda!
My perfect view!
Little girl kept sucking trying to get her thumb so I paged the nurse STAT to get my a paci!
Smiling already
Baby girl was freaking me out... I have never had a babe come that fast, so since she did, she swollowed some amniotic fluid on her way out. This caused her to puke constantly the first 48 hours. She would choke, and then puke.
but look at this face:)
Flowers from my sweet parents in a vase from when I was a little girl!
Speaking of something old...
This outfit was worn home by me, Brooke, and now Brynn!
Monday afternoon Kevin and Walker picked us up and we headed home!

Now we are home, trying to figure out life, while also bandaging my nipples bc GIRL HAS tore them apart! We are in for a treat with her!

We are all in love. Thank you for all the prayers, help with bigs (mom, dad, mark, and Katelin), and congratulations!

Hopefully I will keep this updated in a timely manner!
haha

XOXO,
Christina
