Lake Life - 4th of July Week Part 1

Last week I packed the kiddos up and headed to the lake with my family. Pretty much ever since Kevin and I got married, he has always had to work the 4th of July. That was the case again this year, but watch out 2018, the hubs will be able to go!!!!!
#allthepraisehands
It was not a surprise that we had to stop at Chick Fil A on the way there. Unfortunately when you take a dog, you have to eat outside!
We got there just in time Saturday evening for mom and dad to head to their HOA meeting, so it left us kiddos to unpack! It was pretty quiet for a minute or two and I knew Walker was up to something. I kept calling his name, and eventually found him behind the table, in Lola's bed,  feeding her puffs!
The girlies got up Sunday morning and headed to the grocery. It was my turn for announcements at church so we had to log on and check them out!
We came back to PawPaw reading to Walkman...

The first day out on the lake!
We pretty much bring every snack in the pantry and a billion other things for the kiddos (hence the wagon!)
These two right here are absolutely INSEPARABLE! I am pretty sure Brooke would pick Katelin over me these days - and maybe Katelin would pick B over Mark?!?!
#haha

Anyways... I can't even begin to thank the Lord that He brought Mark and K back together because the Garman's have missed her!! B and K haven't seen each other for a year, but act like they have never been apart! It melts me!
Speaking of melting me... have you ever seen more beautiful children?!
We no sooner pull out of the dock and Miss Thing is into the snacks.

Walkman was not feeling the total submerging. He was as content as can be with his feet in.
Hydration is key!:)
Pawpaw and his boy!
We were just missing Kevin! Thanks K for the sunglasses!
There is no denying she is my child 😘
1st child down...
2nd child down.
There is just something about a boat motor and some fresh air. Happens every time!
Brooke had been talking about tubing for a few weeks. She had zero desire last year and she kept saying "when I am 4"! She nailed it!
These two are the cutest!
We stopped in our cove for a swim break.

Seriously Brooke surprised the heck out of us... Remember my post like 3-4 weeks ago in Myrtle. Well she wouldn't swim in the pool even with a puddle jumper on... Fast forward to last week and miss confident swam far out with her life jacket all by herself. I was floored!
Funny story, Katelin spotted a turtle swimming right by Brooke. I freaked #shocker and said go get her!!! Katelin jumped in the water and pulled Brooke to the boat. We told B she was swimming with a turtle (snapping) and she was so excited. Sorry Brooke!
Brooke LOVED tubing, but only right behind the boat. She wasn't a fan of the slingshots!

We came back in, ate some burgers and headed out for a night swim!
Pretty much K and B dominated my camera roll!

Good morning Monday! These two are ready for the water!

I made Brooke a cheese sandwich for lunch on the boat and had some turkey for Walk man. Walker wanted his sister's sandwich so he climbed off my lap and grabbed it out of her hand and gave her his turkey. She tried grabbing her sandwich back and he cried!
We told him that was not nice. Sweet Brooke said he could have it, but she wanted a couple bites, so he fed her!
Beyond thankful for these two and for all their help last week!
Me and my girl!
Brooke's job was to put our shoes away every time we got in the boat, but she was also interested in driving!
and Walk was just interested in eating...
Until he realized there was a steering wheel!
Walk wanted to test the tube too!
The sun must of been bright!
I think it rained so we came up to the condo for a bit until it stopped.
We all headed to the pool later and Brooke was holding the "hoop" so K and Mark could play ball!
My handsome! See how content he is just splashing his feet!?!
The next day was the 4th, so mom bought cookies and festive M&Ms so B could make goodies!
She is one spoiled little girl!
#thecookiesweredelicious
Shake the Lake fireworks were happening at dark, but my kiddos were so exhausted that I stayed in the condo while mom, dad, Mark, and K, along with hundreds of boats, headed to the pier.
Walker was snoozing so Brooke and I sat on the balcony!

Shew... I am exhausted just typing this post! Swing back to catch part 2!

XOXO,
Christina
