Thanksgiving Week/Weekend-Potty Training Edition

I guess we can say this post is all about Brooke as she had a couple "firsts" this week.

Brooke headed to the salon with me on Tuesday to get her first haircut! It looks really long, but no lie, she didn't have much hair until year 2-3. She loves it long, so we only got an inch or so cut off!

We didn't get an after pic because Kevin picked her up while I was in foils!

Wednesday we headed to Sage's second birthday party!

Then went to my parents for the rest of the night to eat pizza and prep the Thanksgiving meal!

So Thursday we woke up, had breakfast and watched the Macy's day parade.
HUGE, I mean HUGE blogger fail as I took like 3 pictures while at my parents. .Unfortunately I didn't even get our family's picture on Turkey Day:(
Bubba continues to gag on any veggie we put in his mouth...

And Brooke's sweet friend, Selah and her family, joined us this year! These girls had the best time!

Walker's first Thanksgiving!

My boys!

So, we have had a HECK of a time trying to get B potty trained. We have been dealing with it since February. This is how close we have been... She would wear her panties during the day and go put on her pull-up when she has to go and then put her panties back on.

Yes Brooke, I can not wait for you to read this when you get older!

We decided that since Kevin was home with me Fri, Sat, and Sunday, we would do the 3 day hardcore potty training challenge. Brooke threw away her last pull-up on Thanksgiving night, and she knew (as we had been talking about it all week) that she would not have any pull-ups Friday morning. I took her pull-up off Friday morning and we decided to let her put her Christmas decorations up in her room as we were putting her on the potty every 30 minutes.

She fought us and bounced around until 11:30am when she finally gave in and peed on the potty!!!

She was SO excited and proud of herself! This cabbage patch doll has been starring her in the face for the last month, but she was not able to have it until she went on the potty.

She has actually been telling us when she is going for nearly 9-10 months, but has been too stubborn to use the potty. Her diaper has been her comfort. I can now say that she is COMPLETELY (even at night) pull-up free!

So that was our weekend. The absolute worst as I didn't go black Friday shopping, but the BEST now that Brooke is potty trained!

XOXO,
Christina
